All Shook Up: Earthquake in Fountain Valley
If you suddenly felt the urge for a frozen, blended treat yesterday, it might not just have been the warm weather that brought on your sudden craving. It appears that the universe is conspiring to get you to treat yourself by giving you a subliminal message through a minor shake-up.
There was a 1.5 earthquake in Fountain Valley yesterday. That’s pretty small by California standards, and no damages have been reported. But it’s certainly a good reminder that we live in earthquake country, and that it’s always a good idea to prepare for “the big one.”
Maybe the universe is also dropping you a hint about renewing your earthquake insurance. If you don’t have earthquake insurance, you’re lucky that yesterday’s quake was only a minor rumbling.
Don’t wait for catastrophe to strike! Be prepared for it when it comes by earthquake-proofing your house, drawing up a family evacuation plan and making sure that your entire family knows what to do in case of an earthquake, and by getting the right insurance in place. Even if an earthquake ruins your home, it doesn’t have to ruin your life.
