Meet Paul Traughber
Paul began his
insurance career in 1994 with Commercial Union
Insurance Company in Boston, MA. Paul is the third
Traughber to be in the insurance business in Los
Angeles with his grandfather, Frank Traughber the
founder or Alandale Insurance on Spring Street in
Downtown Los Angeles in 1928. Paul has held his
Property and Casualty Broker License since 1994.
While with Commercial
Union Paul was able to work in Underwriter, Risk
Management, Claims, National Accounts and Regional
Marketing. After 18 months with Commercial Union in
Boston and New York, Paul was transferred to the Los
Angeles office where he realized his desire to join
the brokerage side of the business with Alandale.
Paul joined Alandale
Insurance Agency in the Glendale Office as a Personal
Insurance Broker heading the sales of that office in
1996. He grew his personal accounts to the largest in
the agency within 4 years when it became clear that
Commercial Accounts were his future. He continues
today to bring in new Commercial Accounts to the Los
Alamitos office.
Most recent
achievements : Paul was a boardmember,
Vice-President and then President of Insurance
Brokers and Agents of the West - Burbank, Glendale,
Pasadena Association. During that time he was
named one of Californias’ Young Brokers of the Year
2001 as the winner of the Harlan Miller Award
presented by The IBA West. Paul recently
visited the White House as a representative of IBA
West and California Small Businesses.
Education
: Graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in
Sociology
