Meet Paul Traughber
VP Commercial Sales

Paul began his insurance career in 1994 with Commercial Union Insurance Company in Boston, MA. He is a third generation insurance broker with his grandfather, Frank Traughber, the founder of what is now Alandale Insurance in Downtown Los Angeles in 1928.

While with Commercial Union (now Golden Eagle) Paul was able to work in Underwriting, Risk Management, Claims, National Accounts and Regional Marketing. After 18 months with CU in Boston and New York, Paul was transferred to the Los Angeles office where he realized his desire to join the brokerage side of the business with Alandale.

Joining Alandale in the Glendale Office as a Broker heading the Sales of that office in 1996. Paul grew his personal accounts to the largest in the agency within 4 years when it became clear that Commercial Accounts were his future. He continues to bring in new Commercial Accounts to the Glendale and Los Alamitos Offices. Paul works out of all three Alandale Offices.

After growing up in La Canada, CA Paul went to Tempe, AZ to attend Arizona State University where he graduated with a BA in Sociology. Paul now resides in Manhattan Beach, CA. In his spare time, he is active member of the Cal Devils (ASU Athletic Booster Association), enjoys golf and travel.

Most recent achievements: Paul was a board member, Vice-President and then President of Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West - Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena Association. Helped to revive the Young Agents of Burbank, Glendale & Pasadena. During that time he was named one of California's’ Young Brokers of the Year 2001 as the winner of the Harlan Miller Award presented by The IBA West. Paul recently visited the White House as a representative of IBA West and California Small Businesses.

Education: Graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Sociology
