AB 749 Requires New Employer Postings

There is a mandatory change on the employer poster, per AB 749, so the Workers' Compensation "Injuries on the Job" must be posted by all employers.  The Workers' Compensation "Injuries on the Job" is the only required posting that is updated for 2003.

This posting is one of 12 required postings that you can obtain from the California Chamber of Commerce.   Per California law, this poster must be posted in ALL workplaces and must be visible to employees.   The posters must be placed anywhere they can be read by employees, such as a break room, common hallway, payroll office, or even a restroom. In addition, the polygraph protection, and state and federal anti-discrimination posters must be displayed where they can be read by job applicants. Also, the poster must be posted in each company location.

The penalties for failure to post include the loss of medical control (LC §3550(e) and civil penalties of up to $7,000 for each violation (LC §6431)].
